James DeWitt Johnson Considered by many to have been a child Prodigy, Johnson believes his talents for playing and writing music is a God-given gift. The fourth of eleven children, he co-organized his first gospel group, The BC&M Choir, while he was still in high school in Nashville, Tennessee. For the last dozen years he has been touring and recording with The James Johnson Ensemble along with other choirs and groups. He has seen many of his original songs become standards in the repertories of the churches nationwide.
